- Sawant- Diploma in Chemical Engineering started career as Sales Engineer for Process Pumps manufactured by SU Motors & marketed by L & T.
- Mr. Sawant joined as Sales Engineer in Khimline pumps (presently known as Sulzer) Worked there for 6 years.
- After leaving job started selling boiler, process pumps on commission.
- 2nd April 1992 started INDUSTRIAL MARKETING ASSOCIATES distributing process pumps & Barrel pumps.
- In 1996 started branch office in Mahad, Dist. Raigad, catering Industrial unit at Roha, Mahad, Lote& Ratnagiri.
- Extended customer belt on western coast of Maharashtra & Goa.
- 2002 shifted office to new premises in Thane.
- 2007- Industrial Marketing Associates got distribution of Grundfos Pumps, World Leader in Pump Manufacturers.
- 2008 - Bharat Enterprises turned around 1st big order of 57 Lacs from Bombay Dyeing With this Bharat Enterprises was awarded with additional areas for distribution & one complete Territory of western coast.
- 2012 started Energy Audit Franchise of Grundfos.
- 2015 – Grundfos selected IMA as Industrial Partner considering excellent support to industry applications. Only 4 people across India & among only 50 distributors across world.
- 2015 – Started distribution of IR ARO Brand positive displacement pumps
- 2018 – Started Distribution of ExxonMobil.
